SAEC-March 13th, Entrepreneur's Soiree (03/08/2001)

"Entrepreneur's Soiree"

"Holland Still Grew Tulips After the Tulip Mania"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The dot-com bubble has burst. Does that mean New York's Internet Era is
over? Not at all. Tom Lipscomb, director of the Center for the Digital
Future, will present an overview of New York's Digital Future at Silicon
Alley Entrepreneurs Club/The Elevator Soiree, on Tuesday, March 13.

Lipscomb is a former Mississippi Civil Rights volunteer, the founder
of Times Books, past publisher of Ladies Home Journal, a two-time
successful start-up entrepreneur, advisor to mayors and governors, the
Council on Foreign Relations, the New York Academy of Sciences, and one
of New York's wisest men on all things relating to the Internet.

The event is next Tuesday evening, March 13th, 6-8 p.m. at The Gamut,
102 East 25th Street, just off Park Avenue South (New York City).

Dress is casual, free hors d'oeuvres, cash bar. No RSVP required. $5
admission will go to the benefit of the Governors Island Information
Technology Research Center, an effort to put a digital research facility
on Governors Island.

Thanks
