SAEC Event Sponsorship Request

Dear Siliconites;

Good news first: We are more than 1300 members strong and that's a milestone by itself by any measure. Congratulation to all of you. A lot of hard work being put for the planned FREE MEGA EVENT in New York city.

Thank you all so much for the great support and all those "Thank you" mails that filled my hotmail box. I tried to reply to each one of you personally, if I missed anyone, I apologize but Thanks a lot. We have received sponsoring interest from a few companies with their FREE services like webcasting, web design and many more. Thanks to them all but we need a lot more. This is our official sponsorship (service partnership) request. This is the cheapest marketing/promoting opportunity you'll ever have in your business career and I guarantee it. SPONSORSHIP FOR THE EVENT: We need everything from a location to food to badges. Here is the list that comes to my mind now:

1) SPACE for the event in New York city: This is the most important of all. We'll have our first event as soon as we get a space. We need a space in Manhattan for the event whether its your companies meeting room, a restaurant, a bar. Either you have it or you can arrange one or you can pay for one. Do whatever you can. As long as we can fit 200-500 people we are ok. If we can get a BIG restaurants/bar then participants can buy their own food and drink and this will be the best option as we don't have to worry about getting food and drink.

2) FOOD: This is one thing that get the event going. We need Food, Beer, Snacks, we'll do with whatever we get. If we don't get sponsors we'll bring our own beer and chips. Entrepreneurship begins at home...?

3) BADGES AND BUTTONS: We'll need badges and buttons for the participants. If you know a company that will make them for us (free).

4) BANNERS: I'm sure there is plenty of companies out there. We just need a few BIG banners (2 or 3) to hang around the event.

5) AUDIO SYSTEM: A simple audio system (I mean just a microphone and two small speakers) would be of help so that we can save the speakers/presenter's lungs from further damage.

6) PHOTOGRAPH/VIDEO/WEBCAST: Again some nice photos and video would add value to the press releases and to be posted on our web-site

7) PRINTING MATERIAL: It'll be good to have some printing material. If there is a printing company that you know who can help us, let us know. We also need business cards for SAEC itself (I had made a whole lot last year from my own pocket, but the info has changed so we have to get new ones)

8) EVENT ORGANIZER: If there is a company out there who will arrange (physically) the event for us, that will be great. If not we'll do it on our own.

TECHNOLOGY HELP FOR OUR WEBSITE AND EVENT:

1) DESIGN & HOSTING: We need a website of our own. We need companies/people to design, host and maintain our site. It does not have to be one company for design and hosting.

2) EMAIL DISTRIBUTION: We are using Topica's free service now. But we want to maintain our own email server for privacy of our members. Any email distribution service be of great help.

3) EVENT ORGANIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It'll make our life a lot easier if we can use software/technology to plan and organize the event. If not we plan to use evite technology. There are many more items that I can't think of now. If you have products/services that can be of help in an event please keep adding to the list.

WHAT WILL YOU GET IN RETURN:

In a nutshell we'll selectively promote the hell out of your business/institution to people and company that matters to your business success.

1) We'll allow you to put your sponsoring banner on our event (you supply your banners)

2) We'll put our sponsors logo and company info. on our sponsor page in the web site when completed

3) We'll promote them on our event email distribution to our more than 1300 members who are/will be the mover and shaker of technologyindustry. We ofcourse reserve the right to decide what method of promotion and how often such promotion will happen. Depending upon the sponsorship we'll make that decission. Any and all product/service provided/developed by the partners/sponsors becomes the property of SAEC. SAEC will have the right to selectively promote the service partners as long as the service is in use. Both the parties can terminate their relationship with a 15 day notice, after which SAEC will stop promoting the service provider. All products/services that are the property of SAEC must be handed over to SAEC immediately after the termination of such relationship. That's a whole lot for a little investment. Please be generous and do your fair share. Please write me with your contribution and we'll keep updating you as we go on.
